Raising The Future In Every Classroom: Our First Book Donation
If there’s one thing we’re passionate about, it’s giving every kid a chance to read books with characters that look like them and live like them. That’s why $5 of every ColorPop Books purchase goes towards our Book Donation Fund. The Book Donation Fund helps fund DonorsChoose projects created by public school teachers from across the country to request much-needed materials for their students. The projects we fund with the Book Donation Fund are special: at these schools, more than 50% of students are Black, Latinx, Native American, Pacific Islander, or multi-racial, and 50% or more of those students qualify for free or reduced lunches. When we fund those projects, we’re fulfilling our mission of putting identity-affirming books into the hands of the kids who need them.
So when OshKosh B'gosh wanted to join in to make that mission a reality, we couldn’t wait to get started!

Together with OshKosh B'gosh and our ColorPop Community, we’ve been able to do so much more with the first activation of our Book Donation Fund than we ever thought possible. This month, we gave $30,772 to classroom projects, funded 95 classroom projects, and supported 1,947 young readers. That means 1,947 budding scientists, dreamers, and leaders got to read books showing them a world where they matter and belong.
